Before I Wake follows a boy whose dreams manifest in reality when he sleeps – Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane star as the couple who adopt him after their own son dies. I’m a big fan of Flanagan and despite the “Nightmare On Elm Street knock off” synopsis the trailer looks amazing: the gorgeousness of the good dreams – butterflies, twinkling lights, the missing child resurrected – and the unrestricted freakishness of the bad ones.

I haven’t even mentioned the various virtues of Kickstarter, collectable merchandise, film preservation, Sky+, Secret Cinema, instant downloads, Blu-ray...
