Attack, the second within 11 days, was a carbon copy of that earlier attack, but more serious. The steel door of the valve control station was hurled 50 feet on to the nearby dual carriageway and fragments of metal were found 300 yards away in all directions. This device was described as "relatively sophisticated". All newspapers were now giving large amounts of publicity to the Tartan Army and speculation as to its organisational structure. Gordon'Wilson, SNP MP for Dundee East, declared that "the Tartan Army are Scotland's enemies" and another SNP spokesman said: "\fle share a gene ralpuzzleddisappointment that the instigators of these explosions have not all been found.
